I will show you exactly how to get crystal clear on what you must do to prepare for your next job. I’ll take you through the process of:
• Grading yourself so you can really see what areas in your job search and your professional development you must consider improving
• Finding your ideal job – What job fits your personality and your interest and if there is a demand for people with the talent to fill the vacancies
• How to identify the biggest problems, obstacles, and challenges that may be preventing you from landing your next job
• How to organize your job search so you don’t waste time chasing unrealistic opportunities
This session is one of the foundations of what you need to do in order to find your first job or next job in 30 days. There’s simply no way around it.
Next step, I’ll personally walk you through how to locate the employment opportunities that are all over the Washington Metro area that most unemployed people would never find. You will leave the Boot Camp with a toolbox of skills and resources to get you started immediately on a successful job hunt. (I’ll coach you the exact same way I have coached the nearly 600 H.O.P.E. Project participants)
We’re going to cover:
• How to find job leads in large numbers
• The types of organizations that constantly have job openings and are anxious to hire
• Who to collaborate with so you can get access to the best job leads
• What skills will get you hired right now
• What technology you should be using in your daily job search
This session is all about communicating effectively and modeling proven skills that will be sure to impress any recruiter or hiring manager. (I’ll personally cover ALL of the techniques that helped my H.O.P.E. Project participants accept job offers with salaries as high as $105,000)
We’re going to cover:
• How the behavior clues will make or break your interview
• How to respond to the most popular interview question, “Tell me about yourself” and how most people make the mistake responding incorrectly and ruining their chances at the job
• How to handle very difficult questions like, “Name a challenging situation and how you handled it” or “Why do you feel you are the right candidate for this position”
• What key statements you MUST make when interviewing over the phone
• What questions will impress any hiring manager and what questions will automatically disqualify you from consideration
• How to clearly articulate on your interview the difference between a feature and benefit
• What questions you MUST ask to guarantee you’ll get serious consideration for the job
You can know exactly where the jobs are, have all the right experience and even have the connections and certifications recruiters and hiring managers are looking for BUT if you haven’t taken the steps to make your resume compelling enough for someone to want to interview you, you won’t get the highly sought after interviews you covet.
So together we’re going to go through:
• How to design your resume to match the job you seek
• How to craft a compelling resume that will grab any recruiter or hiring manager’s attention
• Responding to gaps in your employment history, if you give the wrong response you can kiss the job good-bye
• How to speak to the skills listed on your resume and how to make them relevant to the job you are interviewing for
• Using the right resume format to make you look like the ideal candidate
• What key words you MUST include on your resume to guarantee your resume will get reviewed although 500 resumes were submitted for just a single position
• The most important technical and soft skills to have on your resume to get you an interview
• How to add legitimate work experience to your resume, stay at home moms returning to the workforce and young people may not have much work history, we can fix that.

• What important professional characteristics will determine whether or not you will be called in for an in person interview
• How the behavior clues will speak volumes about your professionalism
• What your appearances says about you that will ruin your chances of getting the job
